Model of ink quantity control based on colorimetry system

Abstract

In the offset printing process, the ink quantity control in the ink zone, color and ink quantity transformation algorithm and the establishment of database, are all based on principle of density measurement. With the establishment and wide spread use of the standard ISO12647-2 for offset, colorimetric measurement is becoming a tendency. By experimental research, this article analyses the relationship between ink thickness and colorimetric value(L*a*b*) by regression method, determines the best ink quantity parameter, establishes the model of ink quantity controlling based on colorimetry system.
