Abstract
This paper presents an investigation into the design and development of a microstrip-fed slot antenna to be used in millimetre wave RFID system at 24 GHz. The input impedance, resonant frequency and gain characteristics of the antenna are discussed with respect to its various design parameters. Experimental results are also presented. The antenna can yields 10% input impedance bandwidth and 2.3 dBi gain at 24 GHz.
