Abstract

In this article, the definition and classification, incidence, clinical features, and etiologies of acute kidney injury (AKI) are presented. Methods to recognize AKI, preventative strategies for patients at risk and management strategies for established AKI and the role of pharmacist in AKI identification and management will also be discussed.
