Abstract

A review of the current status of load modeling in power system studies indicates the growing importance of accurate load representation and the application of on-line system monitoring to improve knowledge of load behavior and the data for large disturbance power system load behavior. The shortage of data on the large disturbance behavior of load could be alleviated by on-line monitoring to record the system and load response during transient disturbances which occur in the course of normal system operation.
