Abstract
This chapter will provide details on how LF-PIV had been applied for both fundamental and more applied aerodynamics and fluid dynamics studies, covering significantly different flow conditions and test mediums. These case studies will shed light upon how LF-PIV may be implemented in different experimental setups and how it compares against conventional 2D- or Tomo-PIV approaches. Another purpose here is to highlight the advantages, disadvantages and how LF-PIV implementations could be beneficial in more challenging experimental setups or flow scenarios.
