Learn About Social Network Analysis in Gephi With The Guardian Australia’s Twitter Data (2020)

This dataset is designed for teaching exploratory social network analysis. The dataset is a snapshot of data collected from the online newspaper The Guardian Australia’s ‘search network’ on Twitter over 26 March 2020. Search network refers to the tweets that are directed towards The Guardian; that is, the tweets that mention, retweet, or reply to The Guardian Australia’s primary Twitter account @guardianaus. The example provides relational data that includes information about users and specific tweets and their position and role within the Twitter network. This can be used to analyse patterns in online communication, relationships, user and audience engagement, and the spread of information on Twitter. The dataset file is accompanied by a Student Guide and a How-to Guide for Gephi.
