Abstract

Leadership is critical for achieving the societal mandate of clinical pharmacy practice, that is, increased access to and improved use of medicines globally. Leadership development may be even more important during periods of significant change in health care systems, such as those brought on by automation, migration, policy change, and other drivers. With this in mind, this chapter introduces the foundational theories, adapted styles, example behaviors, common setbacks, and popular resources for pharmacy leadership.
