Abstract
First year allied health (nursing) students typically represent a broad range of ages, life experience, educational background and academic preparedness. Many have minimal or no bioscience education and are often overwhelmed by the perceived difficulty with bioscience concepts. Although bioscience can cause a disproportionate level of anxiety, there is an increased need for greater understanding in bioscience to improve health outcomes.
