Abstract
The contents of Al and Mo in BT8 titanium alloy were adjusted in certain range. After heat treatments, Metalloscope was employed to observe the microstructures of the alloys. Volume fractions and the average diameters of equiaxed α phase in different alloys were measured. It is found that with increasing of [Al]eq-[Mo]eq the volume fractions of equiaxed α phase increase, while with increasing of [Al] eq+[Mo]eq the average diameters of equiaxed α phase decrease.
