Abstract
In this paper, we introduce the concepts of intuitionistic fuzzy linguistic variables and intuitionistic fuzzy linguistic hedges which are the generalizations of the corresponding concepts in fuzzy set theory. The behavior of intuitionistic fuzzy sets after the application of these intuitionistic fuzzy linguistic hedges as well as some of the important properties of these concepts are also studied and discussed.
