Abstract
This book was inspired by the need to change the conversation about how academic libraries conceptualise and communicate their educational expertise, and how they add value to learning and teaching in their institutions. For over a decade, staff at Monash University Library (MUL) and La Trobe University Library (LTUL), Australia, have been influenced by the scholarship of learning and teaching to enhance how library skill development programmes connect to the curriculum.
