Interventions for improving medication-taking ability and adherence in older adults prescribed multiple medications (Protocol)

This is a protocol for a Cochrane Review (Intervention). The objectives are as follows: To evaluate the effectiveness of interventions designed to improve medication-taking ability and/or adherence in older community-dwelling people (or their carers). We will focus on interventions that target medication-taking behaviour by consumers who are being treated with multiple long-term, prescribed medications, and will include measures of both medication-taking ability and adherence to the prescribed medication regimen.
