Abstract

International human resource management (IHRM) refers to “all HR activities in their internal and external contexts as they impact the processes of managing [people] in organizations throughout the global environment to enhance the experience of multiple stakeholders” (Schuler & Tarique, 2007). Global events such as the COVID-19 pandemic and ongoing trends such as globalization, global mobility of work, changing demographics, and the growth of emerging economies, have all contributed to the challenges and opportunities for managing diverse employees, and operating within and across different national contexts.
