Electrical engineering education textbooks usually restrict the linking between theory and practical work in power system harmonics. This paper presents a comprehensive definition, mathematical description, and practical experiments in power harmonics. To realise the application in a real environment, a simple software package, based on FFT (Fast Fourier Transform) in the MATLAB program, to identify and analyse the power system harmonics, is introduced.
