Abstract

Microstructure, texture, and mechanical properties of magnesium alloy WE43 processed by equal-channel angular pressing (ECAP) were investigated. Grain refinement down to 0.7–1 µm and a transformation of texture from the basal to the prismatic one induced by ECAP were shown to lead to increased strength combined with enhanced ductility.
