Improving broad-band mid-span spectral inversion performance for fiber nonlinearity compensation

Abstract

We investigate design approaches for improving the performance of broad-band midspan spectral inversion. Simulations show at least 0.7 dB peak Q improvement of a 160-GHz wide 16-QAM OFDM super channel after 800 km transmission.
