Abstract
This paper presents the performance of a non-uniform annular ring patterned PBG assisted transmission line. The radii of the rings are selected based on Tschebyscheff polynomial. Based on the approximation, the line is simulated on IE3D and prototype lines are built and tested. Both simulated and measured S-parameters exhibit significant improvement in ripple height and rejection bandwidth over the conventional PBG assisted microstrip lines.
