Abstract

Four polymers are studied provide fundamental structure/property data regarding perfluorocarbon and hydrocarbon sorption in hydrocarbon and fluorocarbon polymeric matrices. The polymers include two random, glassy copolymers of tetrafluoroethylene and 2,2-bistrifluoromethyl-4,5difluoro-1,3-dioxole, rubbery poly(dimethylsiloxane, and poly(1-(trimethylsilyl)-1-propyne). The results of the study are summarized and presented.
