N2 - 1-Phosphapropyne has been prepared and high-resolution (0.001 cm-1) spectra have been recorded on the far-infrared beamline at the Australian synchrotron between 1500-700 cm-1 and 400-50 cm-1. Ro-vibrational transitions of the v8 (308 cm-1) and v7 (1006 cm-1) fundamentals as well as the and hot-bands have been assigned, and rotational, centrifugal distortion and Coriolis interaction parameters determined.
