Abstract

This artist book was made in a close collaboration with Uta Eisenreich, a visual artist with whom I worked on the photography of a series of my necklace works made between 1995 and 2010.The photographs reference different ways in which necklaces are displayed in different contexts like the shop window, the ethnographic collection, the auction website.These images are interwoven with a large collection of found images that I put together over a number of years in which you see the basic principle of the beaded necklace in all kinds of other source material from science, biology, archaeology etc.
