Abstract
In 2008 I wrote an article looking at the changing role of radiographers globally.1 Reading through this today, it seems that many of the issues are still prevalent. Definitions of who we are and what we do still confuse others who are not closely aligned with our work and profession. The gap between the established countries and emerging nations regarding formal recognition of radiography as a profession is still there. There have however been some great strides made and some encouraging trends emerging.
