Abstract

Gilles de la Tourette syndrome (TS) is neurodevelopmental disorder characterized by multiple motor tics and at least one vocal tic that have been present for over a year and onset before 18 years, according to the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of the American Psychiatric Association (currently DSM-5, 2013) and the International Classification of Disorders (World Health Organisation Criteria [ICD-10,1992]).
