Abstract

The contribution of gastric processing of lipid-based formulations for poorly water soluble drugs was assessed via comparison between oral and intraduodenal administration. The data of plasma profiles suggest that both the type of lipid and gastric processing are critical to enhance the oral bioavailability of highly lipophilic poorly water soluble drugs.
