Abstract

The chemical potentials of oxygen defined by the reactions 2Ni + O₂ = 2NiO, 2Co + O₂ = 2CoO, 2Ni + SiO₂ + O₂ = Ni₂SiO_4(olivine), 2Co + SiO₂ + O₂ = Co₂SiO_4(olivine) have been measured using an electrochemical technique. -J.A.Z.
