Abstract
The fauna has many similarities to Late Cretaceous faunas of the Hell Creek and Lance Creek formations of the northern US. This probably reflects both the relative case of terrestrial dispersal during the Mesozoic and physical similarities between the three formations. All three formations appear to be predominantly fluviatile deposits laid down on flood plains near sea level. All three collection areas were roughly the same distance from the palaeoequator.
