Abstract

This chapter explores the poetic and visual possibilities of an a/r/tographic exchange (Bickel et al 2010) between Geraldine Burke and Kathryn Coleman. Together, we co-write and co-design a digital/analogue exchange to re-map and re-theorise four ovulary texts (Irwin 2004; Springgay, Irwin, & Kind 2005; Beer, Irwin, Grauer & Xiong 2010; Bickel, Springgay, Beer, Irwin, Grauer, & Xiong 2010) as a feminist radical collaboration and contribution to a/r/tographic relationality and renderings (Springgay et al 2005). In this chapter, we wonder with postal letters and paper planes, as we map speculative a/r/t flights of this project. Working from lockdown sites (across Narrm, the Woi Wurrung word for the Melbourne region) we engage with the four readings offered as gifts to our newly formed radical collaboration to honour our a/r/t matriarchs.
