N2 - Clinical preceptorship typically involves an experienced nurse supervising a student performing clinical tasks. Due to model limitations, we designed a flipped model of student preceptorship. From the second placement day, the student is allocated responsibility for complete nursing care of two patients, within their scope of practice. The model was piloted and positively evaluated by students and valued by clinical staff. It represents a unique model for transitioning students to the role of graduate nurse.
