Abstract

In considering bereavement care for families, the relational network is paramount. It offers context, culture, continuity, and resource; it has formed the stage of loss but is also the theater of the future. The family as a whole presents an ally for therapists to recognise and harness. It is the crucible of emotional life, containing both legacy and dreams. Undoubtedly, grief is a family affair and an invitation for family-centred care
