Abstract
The essential oils obtained by hydrodistillation of the leaves, rhizomes and roots of Elettariopsis curtisii Bak. were analyzed by capillary GC and GC/MS. The oils were dominated by monoterpenes, the major components being β-pinene and β-phellandrene, contributing 42.7% and 19.9%, respectively, to the leaf oil, and 29.6% and 17.6%, respectively, to the oil of the rhizomes and roots.
