Efficient four wave mixing and low-loss in-coupling in hybrid gap plasmonic waveguides

Abstract

We show efficient four-wave-mixing over μm length-scales with a signal-to-idler conversion efficiency of 1% enabled by strong nonlinearities and highly confined fields. Furthermore, we demonstrate low-loss in-coupling into nanometer gaps with an efficiency of 80%.
