Abstract
The effect of material properties on the packing of fine particles was studied. It was shown that variables such as sliding and rolling friction, Hamker constant and particle density strongly affect the packing properties. It was found that there is a correlation between the inter-particle forces and porosity and there is a one-to-one relationship between macro and microstructural properties.
