The Dostoevsky Journal: A Comparative Literature Review was first published in 2000 by the American publisher Charles Schlecks Jr., under the name The Dostoevsky Journal: An Independent Review. Schlacks entrusted the role of chief editor to me and 21 years on, I am still in the role.
