Abstract

The channel responses correlation coefficient as the duplicate channel allocation criterion for the null-forming based Space Division Multiple Access (SDMA) is proposed. The performance is studied with respect to the Bit-Error-Hate (BER). We also discuss the performance degradation in the presence of the mutual coupling among antenna array elements. In a moderate noise environment, (Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) = 20 dB, Signal-to-Interference (SIR) = 0 dB), the threshold for duplicate channel allocation with BER < 0.01 is 0.8635 in the presence of mutual coupling.
