    Abstract

    Design Structure Matrix (DSM) also know as Dependency Structure Matrix, Problem Solving Matrix is a project management tool used for representing and analyzing dependencies. The DSM was developed by Warfield (in the 70 s) and Steward (1981). The approach then developed by Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) research in the design process in 1990.
