    Abstract

Higher education is a distinct context in which digital media are used. As such, the use of digital media in higher education—and associated media literacy issues—certainly merit specific consideration in their own right. This entry provides an overview of the digital media that are present in contemporary higher education contexts and the media literacy issues that surround them.
