Abstract

In this article, a novel and compact ultra wide band (UWB) logo-type textile antenna structure is presented. The increasing interest in wearable product such as medical devices, health monitoring, sport wear and military domains promises to replace wired-communication networks in the near future in which antennas play a paramount role. This logo-type antenna represents the logo of author's university name (American International University-Bangladesh). In this paper the design of a UWB (Ultra Wide Band) logo textile antenna for the material with substrate permittivity, ε r = 3 is realized and it consists of four letters, AIUB. This antenna has two sets of resonance frequencies, first band from 1.2985 GHz to 1.986 GHz and second band from 3.678 GHz to 21.167 GHz. Here, the performance of this antenna in terms of resonance frequency fluctuations, return loss and radiation pattern deformation at different bending angles is observed as well.
