Abstract
The design of L-band planar fork power dividers using commercially available software tool HP-EEsof Series IV is presented. HP-EESof is able to accurately model and optimize multi-port microstrip circuits that include junctions of no more than four microstrip lines. For a larger number of lines forming junctions the wiring facility of HP-EESof is used. Such circuits when developed require experimental tuning. This approach is demonstrated in the design and development of 6-way, single- and double-stage, and 12-way double-stage fork dividers.
