Abstract
The new immigration of children and adolescents with no or little knowledge of German at school age presents German schools with the challenge of linguistic integration that allows equal participation in regular lessons. In order to make it possible to catch up with the level of performance of regular school students, language training must also be structured in so-called preparatory measures using suitable content. However, this task is made more difficult by the great heterogeneity of the target group and the constant fluctuation (incoming and outgoing students) in the courses. The article outlines a spiral curriculum designed for this acquisition context in terms of layout and structure and describes the internally differentiated work in the preliminary course using the exemplary representation of a topic area.
