Abstract

The Department of Energy, Environment, and Climate Action (DEECA), Victoria would like to
better understand fleet safety issues across their organisation, with a view to developing
targeted solutions. Monash University Accident Research Centre (MUARC) was commissioned
by DEECA to assess the quality of administrative data held at DEECA for examining vehiclerelated
safety, and to analyse existing data to identify potential solutions for improving vehicle
safety. This Summary Report will provide an overview of the key findings and recommendations
comprehensively described in the Technical Report.
