Culture and early childhood curriculum in Australia

Abstract

Australian early childhood education programs have been dominated by ideas and practices introduced from elsewhere. Only in recent years have alternative paradigms exists. This article describes the context in which the early childhood curriculum has evolved and suggests future possibilities.
