Practicebalances theory with practice, providing practical examples for educators who wish to incorporate cultural literacy into their teaching. The book includes case studies, interviews with teachers and students, and examples of exercises and assessments, all backed by years of robust scholarly research.

This monograph engages with current debates on Cultural Literacy. It discusses how the study of literature may be used as a method for developing empathy and subjectivity as precursors to social cohesion, and it presents an in-depth discussion of a case study where this took place.
