Abstract
Clinical evaluation of the various causes of dorsal back pain is often difficult. Injection of the costotransverse joint is a radiologic procedure performed under fluroscopic control. This technique may be helpful for assessing structural derangement as well as symptomatic joint pain of these patients. Familiarity of the anatomic and fluoroscopic appearances is essential for successful joint puncture.
