Abstract

When published, all enzyme assay components were commercially available. Recently, one essential component [fructose-6-phosphate kinase pyrophosphate-dependent (0.1 U mL^-1; #F8381, Sigma–Aldrich)] has been discontinued. We direct readers to the following correspondence in which the purification of suitable replacement enzymes for inclusion in this assay is described by Machell et al.
