Abstract

The authors regret that the Friedewald formula was incorrect in two places in the main text of this article. The text should be corrected in two places as follows: In the introduction, the third sentence should read ‘LDL-C is typically calculated using the Friedewald equation: LDL-C = total cholesterol − high-density lipoprotein cholesterol [HDL-C] − (triglycerides [TGs]/5)’. In the Methods section, second paragraph, the first sentence should read ‘Using baseline (n = 31,960) and on-treatment (n = 37,911) lipid values from patients with TG < 400 mg/dL, LDL-C was calculated using both the Friedewald equation: total cholesterol − HDL-C − (TG/5), and the novel…”. The authors would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused.
