Abstract

Questioning some of the basic assumptions underpinning the rhetoric surrounding the topic of executive remuneration - public backlash against executive remuneration in Australia - the ways in which corporate law has employed techniques in attempts to control conflicts of interest that exist in relation to executive remuneration - executive remuneration and corporate collapse - tension between the concept of positional conflict of interest and performance-based pay.
