Abstract
Several product forms of this alloy have been studied at two strength levels to assess the strength-ductility-toughness and fatigue combinations achievable in cast and wrought forgings and extrusions, prealloyed powder alloy, a pressed and sintered elemental blend of sponge fines and master alloy and structural castings. Ti-10V-2Fe-3Al was found to have processing and/or properties advantages over alpha / beta alloys such as Ti-6Al-4V in each of the product forms. These advantages are discussed.
