Abstract
Discusses the application of a number of multivariate statistical techniques used to explore relationships between cropping systems and the biophysical and socioeconomic environment. Commonly used multivariate techniques such as single equation regression models are inadequate to analyse complex systems relationships involving interdependencies. Factor analysis and discriminant analysis can overcome some inadequacies. -from Authors
