Abstract
The WHO Global Action Plan on the Public Health Response to Dementia highlights the importance of evidence-based and accessible information for people with dementia, carers and clinicians. The Action Plan recognises the wide gap between the need for dementia prevention, treatment and care and the provision of evidence-based services. These gaps relate to a range of issues, including under- or late diagnosis, fragmented care and under-recognition and under-prescribing for comorbid conditions.
