Clipping-enhanced Kramers-Kronig receivers

Abstract

Simulations show that strongly clipping signals to the Kramers-Kronig processing's logarithm (limiting their lower extent) substantially improves error rates, enabling < 7-dB carrier-to-signal ratios at achievable SNRs, to support low-latency KP4 FEC.
