Abstract
Recently, it has been proposed that the scattering of strongly interacting longitudinal gauge bosons can be studied using chiral perturbation theory. By fitting the energy dependence of the scattering amplitudes in the energy region 0.5 TeV < √s < 1.2 TeV one is sensitive to the nature of electroweak symmetry breaking. This information will be particularly useful if no low-lying resonances are found. We study the feasibility of this approach in pp colliders. We also comment on the qq→WL+WL- process.
